Our aim is to offer practical courses in a young atmosphere orientated towards the University. The Institute building is located in one of the oldest streets of Granada, in the very heart of the city, beside the Padre Suarez High School, where Federico García Lorca studied, and opposite the University Teacher Training College. It is just a step away from the commercial center, also in the ancient quarter of the city. Five minutes' walk from the Institute is the University campus with its sports facilities, and closer is the main University building, or Rectorado, the 16th century former Hospital Real and its Library of Archivo de Indias, containing important original documents concerning the discovering of America. Other faculties are also near at hand, and thus we are immersed in the atmosphere of the University.
