The HISPANIC STUDIES COURSES also offer the possibility of taking the D.E.L.E. exams. Those students who pass the final exam of the course will receive the Diploma de Estudios Hipánicos.
 Three courses a year are organized, with a duration of 5, 4 and 3 months, respectively and 4 class hours per day, from Monday to Friday, given by specialists in the subject:
- October, 1 to February, 28 (with 372 class periods).
- March, 1 to June, 30 (with 324 class periods).
- July, 1 to September, 30.
Two levels are taught:
- Basic course in Hispanic Studies for students with a level of proficiency of beginner, elementary or intermediate.
- Higher course in Hispanic Studies for advanced students.
Three programs are given for each course: A, B and C, each comprising 6 subjects. The student must register for a complete program and then may, if they wish, choose additional subjects from the other programs, on payment of the corresponding supplement, to a maximum of 8 hours.
The programs are composed by the following subjects:
PROGRAM A
- Spanish language 1 : Basic problems in Spanish.
- Spanish language 2: Spanish for communication; linguistic varieties, colloquial expressions, authentic contexts and communication situations.
- Commentaries of literary and journalistic texts.
- Conversation topics on the civilization of Spain and Latin America.
- Geography and popular culture (Spain and Latin America).
PROGRAM B
- Linguistics: Spanish phonology, grammar, syntax and semantics.
- Contemporary literature in Spain and Latin America.
- History and Art in Spain and Latin America.
- Theater workshop. The theater in Spanish literature.
- Poetry workshop. Poetry in the literature of Spain and Latin America.
- Music workshop. Spanish classical music. Latin American music. Popular songs. Singer-songwriters. Latest musical trends in Spain.
PROGRAM C
- Commercial and administrative Spanish.
- The Spanish economy.
- Legal and financial Spanish (Banking and the Stock Exchange).
- Technical-scientific Spanish.
- Spanish in tourism and business.
- Translating and interpreting.
Classes are mainly given by teachers from the University of Granada, specialists in linguistics, literature, history, art, geography, economics, law and commerce.
