General Spanish Language and Civilization course for adults. A communicative course with emphasis on conversation. 20 hours of classes per week from Monday to Friday - (1hr = 50mins) . Small groups (a maximum of 10 students). Duration of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20 or 24 weeks. Levels: Beginners, Elementary, Intermediate I and II, Advanced I and II, Higher. Evaluation test every two weeks. Starting dates 2006: 28th February, 14th April, 1st May, 15th August, 12th October, 1st November, 8th December. No classes will be held on these days. “One to One Courses”: Hours lost on these days will be made up. This is the only official exam approved by the Instituto Cervantes and the Ministry of Education and Science. The diplomas certify the proficiency of a person in the use of our language on three different levels: Initial, Basic and Higher. The examinations take place in Málaga during May and in November. Our centre will enrol those students who are taking part in courses and wish to attend the D.E.L.E. exam. Our levels correspond to the D.E.L.E. levels as follows: - Intermediate II = D.E.L.E. Initial - Initial Advanced = D.E.L.E. Intermediate - Higher = D.E.L.E. Higher. The centre offers a special course of preparation for D.E.L.E.: 4 hours of intensive course at your level plus 1 hour of private tuition a day to prepare the exam. (1hr. = 50mins). This programme aims to bring teachers of Spanish as a Second Language (ELE) up to date on practical aspects of teaching, methodology and, historically speaking, the social life of Spain. Specific grammar, study and analysis of current methods, types of classes, use of different materials in class, student classification and evaluation, customs, history, art, literature, sociology and Spanish politics. Our courses and exams are recognised by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. We offer this programme on two levels: Basic and Superior. The Chamber of Commerce Exams are optional and are held at the school at the end of the course. Option 1 : 30 hours of classes per week from Monday to Friday. Course length 2 weeks. A two week cultural experience with activities included. A programme designed for people with free time, ready to have a new experience in the south of Spain, in Andalucia, and to learn our language in an enjoyable and encouraging way. This programme includes a two week package of activities with a full day trip on the Saturday. 15 hours of classes per week from Monday to Friday. Course length 2 weeks with three different learning levels. Starting dates 2006: Feb. 6 , Mar. 6, April 3, May 22, Jun. 5, Sep.18, Oct.16, Nov. 6- 11.
"Made to measure" courses catering to the specific interests of the student. For executives, professionals and students who require a highly intensive and specialised programme. General Spanish, Spanish for trade, tourism, business, banking, law and medicine or preparation for specific exams ("A Levels" or others). Opportunity to obtain the Diploma de "Español Comercial" (Diploma of Business Spanish) and to share the programme with a partner. 20 or 30 hours of classes from Monday to Friday.
