As in our teaching, our approach outside the class is humanistic and we concentrate in offering exciting leisure and cultural programs. You are free to do as much or as little as you want.![]() A broad program of CULTURAL activities in the afternoon and-evening, such as conferences dealing with cultural topics, slide projections, season of Spanish films. We invite the students to participate in the free discussion of these topics. CULTURAL VISITS to Granada as well as in Almuñecar and surroundings, wholesalers fruit and vegetable auctions, a subtropical fruit plantation, museums, exhibitions and concerts. "FIESTAS" (parties) usually take place on the terrace of the Center, on the beach or in a country house in the tropical valley. In each fiesta, you will be introduced to one or more dishes of traditional Spanish cooking: paella, puchero, migas, gazpacho, etc. EXCURSIONS we appreciate adventure, and go to the unknown parts of the province of Granada. We get to know places and people to which the foreigner would normally have great difficulty in gaining access. DANCE COURSES .- In only ten classes, you'll learn the most popular flamenco dance: the «sevillanas». It is danced by couples, and is joyful, sensual and vibrant. You may also learn the Spanish national dance: the «pasodoble». It is very easy, similar to the tango, and only takes 3 or 4 classes to learn. These two short courses are included in the price of those students enrolled for a course of 4-6 weeks' duration. OTHER SHORT COURSES, for those who may be interested, include: ceramics, painting, embroidery, gastronomy, dance, flamenco or classical guitar, tapestry work and wind surfing. These short courses will last for 10 classes, of one hour each day, taking place over a period of two weeks. RECREATIONAL .-There are all sorts of pastimes such as table football, chess, cards, dice, darts, etc. The school has various bicycles and mopeds which students may hire for individual excursions to deserted beaches, to nearby villages, to the hills or along the tropical valley. ![]() SPORTS .- CEVA maintains a sports monitor at the students' disposition and has a sports store, free of charge, right on the beach with: Wind surfing boards, a small sailing boat, a rowing boat, a canoe, a kayak, goggles and flippers for diving, tennis rackets and table tennis rackets, balls for basketball, handball, volleyball, football, etc. ON THE BEACH.- CEVA provide hammocks, mats and sunshades for students to use, free of charge, on the beach. In addition, two showers were built, a small refreshment and sandwich service was started, and in the sports store we opened a section for the sporting press, comics and Diario 16.
